Feature Supply Shop - buttonalia

The owner of the supply shop featured today has a real talent when it comes to making ceramic buttons. If you are searching for a special finishing touch to your sewing projects, please take a peek at some of her work.

Any one of her buttons would look fantastic on clothing, but the possibilities are endless.   How about on a handbag or maybe a diaper bag you might be making for your special friend. You could even buy the bags and attach these lovely buttons to give it that homemade touch.

Here is the opening to buttonalia's shop.  I couldn't have said it any better.

"I'm a New Zealand trained ceramicist with my specialty being sculpture, glazes and glaze techniques. I am now working from my small studio in Kent, England. Each button is hand crafted by me and many of the glazes are my own. Because these buttons have been glazed front and back and fired to a high temperature, they are non porous, durable and will never lose the brilliance of the colours. Do enjoy them, as I have in making them. I welcome questions or bespoke orders, so convo me."
